Music
In the world of music there is something for everyone. For the rock fans there are bands from all ages that entertain us with their loud guitars and pounding drums. For pop fans we have chart hits and the songs that we hear regularly on the radio. For fans of classical music, there are CDs with orchestral songs from the past and present in all music shops. Then of course, for fans of everything else there is definitely something on offer.
Music is all around us, from the ringtones on our phones to the headphones from our mp3s. It is a popular art form that has kept us entertained for generations and made record companies millions.
The popularity of music is cemented every year with shows such as The X Factor appearing on our screens, which has made stars out of the likes of Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke, whilst providing enormous revenue for their managers. It is also cemented by the success of movies, where music plays a large role in helping the director convey a particular emotion or message. This is most obvious in cases such as High School Musical 3 or 2008’s hit Mamma Mia! where music played a large part in making them so successful.
Music is here to stay and rightfully so. It is a huge part of the world we inhabit…and the Earth is a lot better for it.
